A police complaint has been filed against Bigg Boss Telugu fame Ashu Reddy at the Central Crime Station (CCS) in Hyderabad over serious fraud allegations. The actress stands accused of defrauding an NRI software engineer of ₹9.35 crore in an alleged relationship scam.
The complaint was filed by Satyanarayana, whose son Y. V. Dharmendra is currently based in London. According to reports, Dharmendra met Ashu Reddy during his visit to India in 2018.
Within a short span, she allegedly convinced him that she was in love and wanted to marry him. Using this emotional connection, she reportedly began asking for financial help under various pretexts.
₹9.35 Crore Fraud Allegations Against Ashu Reddy
It is alleged that Ashu Reddy persuaded Dharmendra to purchase expensive assets, including cars, flats, and nearly 5 kilograms of gold, all of which were reportedly registered in her name. The complaint further claims that her family members also supported the marriage narrative initially, creating a sense of trust, but later distanced themselves.
Dharmendra’s father stated that the transactions continued over several years. By 2025, his son had reportedly transferred close to ₹9.35 crore. The total value of assets involved, including cash, gold, properties, and vehicles, is said to be significantly higher.
CCS Police Investigation Underway
Based on the complaint, CCS police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Similar fraud cases involving celebrities have emerged recently, including cheating allegations against folk singer Mangli involving ₹10 crore. Further details are expected to emerge as authorities proceed with the case.
